Barely a month after opening her flagship
showroom, Damilola Akinsete was thrown into mourning. Her father, Pa. Victor
Eniola Akinsete died early this year, after a brief illness. He was aged 82.
Damilola is the arrowhead of Home Inspirations, the world-class maker and
collector of luxury furniture, which is located on Idowu Martins Street,
Victoria Island.
Damilola, who is the first of five children,
hosted the final burial of her father on Thursday, January 23. The funeral
service took place at St. Paul’s Church, Breadfruit Lagos. This was then
followed by a reception at the City Hall, Lagos Island. The colourful party was
graced by many prominent personalities.
