Quilox CEO, Peller, named African Entertainment Personality of the Year



Shina Peller, the chief executive officer and owner of one of Africa’s leading luxury nightclubs, Quilox, was named African Entertainment Personality of the Year at the recently-concluded African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), which recently held at the Le Meridian Hotel, Piccadilly, London. The African Business Leadership Awards was instituted to reward exceptional practices and outstanding achievers, especially in private sector on the continent. Other recipients at the awards ceremony were Dr Paul Orhii (OON), director-general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC); Mrs Dupe Atoki, director-general, Consumer Protection Council (CPC) and Engr. Oladele Amoda, MD/CEO of Eko Electricity Distribution Company. Cross section of all awardees of the night The ceremony was witnessed by various icons in the business community, such as Alexandar Amosu, Mr and Mrs Abiola Peller, Captain Nasir M. Saulawa (CEO, Aquashield Oil and Gas Services), Dr Paul Orhii (DG NAFDAC), Dr Tahir Akhtar (chairman, Adam Global Holdings) and many others. Peller joins past outstanding recipients of the African Leadership awards including, H.E. Jakaya Kikwete, president of Tanzania; Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, president of Sierra Leone; H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, president of the Republic of Liberia; H. E John Kufour, former President of Ghana; and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice president of Nigeria.
