Lately, the profile of Sola Senapon Oworu, Lagos Commissioner for Commerce and Industry has been on the rise. She is one of the most outstanding personalities who constitute the engine room of Governor Babatunde Fashola’s government. Oworu is a former manager at City Bank and she has been making strong impact on account of her versatile experience as a banker. She quit the banking industry nine years ago and went into private business. She ran a consultancy firm until 2007, when she got appointed as a Special Assistant in Lagos State. Sources disclosed that Oworu’s husband, Fola, worked very hard in getting her the slot. The Badagry born lady, who used to indulge in an active social lifestyle, alongside her close friends-Oyinkan Adewale and Bukola Adebiyi, has become a scarce fixture on the social scene since she became a commissioner. Sola enjoys spending her leisure time with her beloved husband.
