DEPOSED DEJI OF AKURE'S LOVER, REMI ABIOLA BIDS FOR HIS RETURN

Lately, one celebrity lady who has been featuring regularly on the social radar is Remi Abiola. She is one of the wives of the late MKO Abiola. She happens to share the same name with the late actress, Remi Abiola, who was also one of MKO’s wives. This beautiful society lady is a lawyer by training, with many years of experience. Remi, who is in her mid-50’s, is the step-daughter of Chief Meredith Adisa Akinloye, the late Ibadan politician. 

She used to live in London, where she ran a thriving law firm. However, a couple of years back, she decided to relocate to Nigeria. It was during this period that she met and fell in love with Prince Oluwadare Adepoju Adeshina, the former Deji of Akure, who was deposed in 2010. The affair was so steamy that Remi moved into her lover's palace in Akure, and took charge of the happenings in his domain. Meanwhile, Adepoju's wife, Bolanle was alleged to have felt slighted by Remi's unacceptable intrusion into her husband's life. She raised an objection to Remi's meddlesomeness and this was echoed by the

traditional chiefs in Akureland. This resulted in the marital brouhaha, which eventually led to Adepoju's removal in 2010, and Bolanle's death a year later. The scandal forced Remi to go underground for many months. But with the news of Adepoju making a bid to regain his lost throne, Remi has been making some underground moves, meeting top society personalities and dispensing her high network of connection to good use. She is seriously working towards making her lover's dream to come to fruition.
