Since January 29th when Oprah Winfrey celebrated her 60th birthday anniversary, she has been buffeted from all sides with parties by her close friends and associates all around the world. Last night,Oprah was treated to one of such parties, courtesy of Tyler Perry, one of her best friends.
Many people would die to have Oprah Winfrey as a BFF — but the thing is, Tyler Perry actually almost did die the first time the Queen of All Media got in touch with him. The two have been BFF and
business partners for many years.
Oprah had called Perry after watching Diary of a Mad Black Woman, to let him know how much she enjoyed the movie. They started talking about the business. So, initially she was there Perry, for support and answers. That role kind of shifted a little bit as Perry became the big brother in certain situations. So it rotates back and forth on who has the experience or the advice for the situation. It has been a good friendship ever since.
