A few days ago, the Lagos social circuit was thrown into a
mourning mood, over the death of Alhaja Bola Lumus, the famous society
lady and businesswoman. She died on Sunday 2, 2014, at the age of 59. The deceased was once married to Sola Lumus, the late socialite and businessman, to whom Chief Ebenezer Obey once dedicated a hit track to in the early 80's. Left to
mourn Bola Lumus are her children, grand children and many friends. Her best friend,
Mujidat Alebioshu is beside herself with grief.
It was gathered that Bola Lumus had been battling a serious
health challenge for some time now. Her fluctuating health condition took a
turn for the worse last February. Bola was then admitted at a highbrow
hospital, where she later gave up the ghost. The remains of the admirable
society lady were interred on that fateful Sunday, in accordance with Islamic
injunction. And tomorrow, Sunday, March 9, the Eight-day Fidau prayer will hold
in her honour.
