Today, the Lagos society will stand still, as the families of Alex-Ibru and Leila play hosts to a galaxy of personalities, who will gather to witness the traditional marriage ceremony of their children. The ceremony involves Omotuvie Alexia and Maxwell Herbert. The bride, Omotuvie is these one daughter of the late Dr. Alexander. O. Ibru (founder, chairperson and publisher of The Guardian newspaper group) and his wife, Lady Maiden Alex-Ibru, nee Thomopulos, the current chairperson and publisher of the Guardian, who is of Nigerian-Greek parentage.
The union between Omotuvie will kick off today,
Saturday, March 1, with the traditional and engagement ceremony. This is slated to hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Onikan, Lagos. The colour code for the day is peach HOH Sagoe headgear. The white wedding is schedule to hold in London later this year.
