Ambassador Antonio Deinde Fernandez does not enjoy the privilege of having his name etched on Forbes’ billionaire list, but the Lagos born billionaire is still one of Nigeria’s wealthiest businessmen in Diaspora. He is a multi-billionaire, whose massive pleasure yacht is generally moored on the French Rivera, while he cruises the globe in one of his fleet of corporate jets.
Lately, Ambassador Fernandez
has become quite fixated with living in Nigeria. And unknown to most people, he has a home in the city of Kano, which most people have described to be a
fortress. The self-styled Baron of Dudley, who also holds the highly revered
title of Garsan Fulani, now shuttles between his home in France and Nigeria.
His decision to establish a home in Kano must have been inspired by his wife,
Halima, the beautiful former Abuja-based celebrity lady, who he married in
2003. Meanwhile, Halima who used to lead a vibrant social life has taken a back
seat. Her rigorous involvement in various beauty therapies has also paid ff.
