The governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, said it is impossible for an ex-prisoner to unseat him. Adding that, the allegedly rigged into the senate from the prison’ candidate, is not fit to contest for governorship comes August 9 , let alone unseat him.
The said this during the inauguration of 21 Roads Projects constructed by his administration.
Ogbeni Aregbesola said, “God dethroned a general who fought in Monrovia, Mogadishu and in other war torn countries and now a former prisoner wants to unseat me. It is impossible’
“The general, who was sacked here was not a prisoner. It amuses me that a former prisoner, who went to the senate from prison is now the one threatening to unseat me.
“He did not win. The poll was rigged because our fathers were peace loving but they cannot try that now. If they attempt to rig, they will regeret it. Let me tell you, there are some people who are not even qualified to contest any election, let alone think of winning. Don’t be afraid of them.
“He is not fit to be a councillor because he did not win his ward. He cannot contest and win.”
