Yesterday, April 10, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), the Onikate of Ikate and the youngest Oba in Lagos State, clocked 38. Although, he chose not to mark the event, a galaxy of notable personalities visited him to pay homage to him and offered him prayers. The effervescent royal father and his stylish wife, Oloori Aramide hosted their guests to a modest soiree. Oba Elegushi was born to the family of late (Oba) Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, Elegushi Royal Family of Ikateland, Lagos State on the 10th of April, 1976. He had his early at the St. Mathias Primary School and Methodist Boys' High School, Lagos. Later, he attended the Lagos State University, Ojo, from he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Economics. He obtained his Master's Degree in Economics from the same institution.

Oba Elegushi worked in many sectors and was able to garner
fertile experience in various capacities as a distinguished professional,
politician and a philanthropist. He was the Personal Assistant to former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and he served
as the Senior Special Assistant to
Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN on Special Duties until his
installation as the Oba Elegushi of Ikateland on April 27, 2010.
Oba Saheed is married to Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi and they are blessed with three
children.
