After taking a long break from the movie
industry, Liz Benson is set to return to the screen. The veteran actress is
currently on location for the shooting of Palace, the soap of a movie produced
by Rukky Sanda. She is expected to play a leading role in the movie. Recently,
the talented thespian recently featured in Stephanie Okereke-Linus’ new movie,
Dry. The movie centres on Vesico Vagina Fistula (VVF), a disease that is
prevalent among women in the northern part of Nigeria.
Until when she decided to come out of her
hiatus from the screen, Liz Benson had kept a low profile. In 2009, the
screen diva got married to a clergyman, Bishop Great Ameye of the Freedom
Family Assembly International Church, Jesse, Delta State, in a ceremony, which
was anything but elaborate. Her first husband, Samuel Gabriel Etim died in 1998.
Liz Benson rose to fame in 1993, when she acted in the popular
television series, Fortune, in which she played the role of Agnes Johnson. Her
role in Glamour Girls was also very outstanding
Aside tending to her husband and three children, Liz Benson also
does a lot of evangelism in keeping herself busy. Her return to the screen will
no doubt herald the flow of more movie roles.
