BOLA SHAGAYA PREPARES SON, SHERIFF FOR REPS CONTEST IN KWARA

Famous billionaire businesswoman and close associate of the First lady, Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya is positioning her first son, Sheriff, to contest and win a seat in the House of Representatives in 2015. The ELITES gathered that work on this project has started in earnest and Hajia Shagaya is leaving no stone unturned, in ensuring that she achieves the goal. 

According to report, Hajia Shagaya is planning to hijack the Kwara state PDP political machinery by posing as the new leader of the party in the state. Her other motive is tailored towards ensuring that President Goodluck Jonathan wins the state in 2015. The ELITES gathered that Shagaya is being positioned to be the Director of Finance of President Jonathan's campaign train in the coming general election. 

However, sources disclosed that the ultimate aim of Hajia Shagaya is to ensure that her son, Sheriff becomes the governor of Kwara State in 2019. She has shared this ambition with a few close

confidants, who have encouraged her to maximise her closeness to the powers that be in the Villa as well as her financial prowess. Interestingly too, Sherrif is married to Maryam, the daughter of Alhaji Bamangar Tukur, the former Chairman of the People's Democratic Party. He is a successful businessman and a popular Polo enthusiast. However, he is described as a political neophyte and somehow aloof. 

Meanwhile, Hajia Shagaya's political ambition will no doubt be hindered by many factors. Chief among them is the fact that she lacks the required political structure and popularity to match Senator Bukola Saraki, the former governor of Kwara State and the modern day  godfather of politics in North Central, Nigeria. Since Senator Saraki decamped to APC, the fortune of PDP structure in the state has suffered a decline. Also, the no-love-lost relationship that exists between Bola Shagaya and Senator Gbemi Saraki, has been identified as another major factor that will likely work against Shagaya's ambition. Unknown to many people, Gbemi Saraki has always nursed an age long resentment for Shagaya, and she has been plotting on how to clip her political wings, ever since she made her presence felt on the political scene in the state. Yet, another factor that is likely to work against Shagaya's ambition has a strong bearing with the unfavorable disposition of Kwara people towards her. It is gathered that most people have been complaining that Shagaya, consciously neglected to use her wealth, resources and connections to the power that be, to help and develop the state. This group of people also pointed out that the billionaire businesswoman disconnected herself from her people in Kwara State, thus it will amount to foolhardiness on their part to throw their weight behind her and her political pursuits. 

However, Hajia Shagaya is not resting on her oars. She is determined to give her put all the resources at her disposal to work, in the quest of realizing her ambition.
