Just two days to the EKITI Gubernatorial election, feelers coming from the Presidency, indicate that President Goodluck Jonathan is jittery over report of the PDP candidate, Ayodele Fayose's imminent woeful performance at poll
The President is said to be at unease over the security report, which signaled that Fayose may not win at the poll.
The report which was submitted to the presidency on Monday pointed out that " The noise and show of support being exhibited by Mr Ayo fayose has no relationship with the reality on ground"
The report revealed that "While Mr Ayodele Fayose is busy glowing in the euphoria of being popular , the Government in power has gone underground , canvassing for votes and convincing the people why the incumbent should be voted for again"
The report unveiled the cat and mouse relationship between candidate Fayose and the others PDP aspirants " There is a simmering and unhealthy relationship between candidate Ayo fayose and some PDP aspirants who refused to be placated by the intervention of the president after the primaries. Some of these aspirants have been relegated into the background and nursing grudges with the aim of working against candidate Fayose .""
This report has caused uneasiness at the presidency which led President Jonathan in setting up a five member committee to ensure that Ekiti election is won at all cost .
The committee advised that the president should encourage the adoption of unholy tactics for the Ekiti election.These unholy tactics include , militarization of ekiti , unwholesome arrest and detention of members of APC and the forceful stepping down of the candidate of Labour Party who is seen as a sympathizer of PDP
