White Case in partnership with Women Leaders in Infrastructure held a summer event for women leaders on Wednesday 9th July 2014 at White & Case, London, UK. The event focused on Africa, and recorded the attendance of many dignitaries.
Wife of former UK Prime Minister, Cherie Blair spoke about her experiences and how better business practices can drive social development in Africa while Africa’s first female mining entrepreneur Bridgette Radebe delivered a speech about her experiences as a business woman in Africa and how her contributions have impacted the society.
Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo who looked grand in his agbada, talked about his Girl Child Initiative in a number of African states and its focus on addressing the pressing and critical issue of safety and security for girls in Africa.
Wife of former Kwara governor, Toyin Saraki was also present at the event.
