ABIKE DABIRI-EREWA MOURNS IKORODU MONARCH

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the beautiful lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has described the demise of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi as a loss of a father figure whose reign brought development to Ikorodu town.
Dabiri-Erewa, who is regarded as the most formidable female politician in Nigeria, enjoyed a daughter-father relationship with the late Ikorodu monarch.
In a statement made available to The ELITES, Dabiri-Erewa said she received the news of the monarch’s death with a “great deal of shock and sadness.”
According to her: “Oba Oyefusi was not only a great father figure to us all but he also lived a life

full of love and kindness to all who came across him.”
“His reign witnessed tremendous giant strides in Ikorodu. I personally will miss his words of wisdom, inspiration, care and support to me and my family.”
“I commiserate with Olori Muyibat who has consistently been a pillar of support, his children, entire family, chiefs, Erelus and indeed all sons and daughters of Ikorodu. A great king and a father will surely be missed but his legacies and fond memories remain forever.”
“This is an end of a purposeful and dynamic era. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” she said.
