CELEBRATING NIGERIA'S STYLE ICON, ADEOLA BALI AT 50







The city of London burst at the seams, literally, last Wednesday, July 30, when Adeola Bali celebrated her 50th birthday. The very stylish society lady marked her day with a grand party which was put together by her husband, Feyi Bali, the party loving Lagos Big Boy, who is popularly known as Baddest Bali within the Nigerian society circuit. The classy birthday party was held at Asia de Cuba, London. The planning of Adeola’s 50th birthday also got a boost with the moral support, rendered by her best friend, Nana Otedola, the beautiful wife of Femi Otedola, the Lagos born billionaire. Predictably, Femi and Nana’s daughter, Florence Ifeoluwa (aka DJ CuppyCake) was on hand to dish out good music to the guests.

Over the years, Adeola has made her mark as one of the most stylish women in Nigeria. She belongs to the class of celebrated style icons, who ooze effortless, understated, albeit classy and star-quality style. Notable among some of thse women are Reni Folawiyo, Mo Abudu, Ify Ighodalo, Sola Coker, Ikepo Braithwaite and a few others.
Born into the prominent family of the Onafowokan of Ijebuland, Ogun State, Adeola has had a fulfilling career story, which covers banking, aviation, (Virgin Nigeria), entertainment, (HITV) and telecommunication (Telegsm).
She started out her career as an audit trainee with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in London and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in December 1989. She then spent several years in Financial Services Regulation, working with the Financial Services Authority and was responsible for the regulation of LIFFE and LME firms.

Before joining Virgin Nigeria in October 2005, Adeola was Head, Human Capital Management at Oando Plc. Prior to assuming that role, she was responsible for the management change programme following the Unipetrol and Agip merger.

Adeola holds a B. Sc. in Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Presently, Adeola runs Garment Care, which is known to be the best dry cleaning company in Africa. Her marriage to Feyi Bali, a native of Owo, Ondo State, is blessed with two boys. She enjoys traveling, organizing charity events and mentoring.
