The National Woman  Leader of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Ambassador Kema Chikwe, has described the death of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh as a great loss to the nation. In a statement made available to The ELITES, Chikwe said the PDP women nationwide received the the news of the late doctor's death with a "profound sense of of shock and sadness."
According to her, "We mourn the death of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, a consultant physician par excellence, consummate professional and an

extra-ordinary humanitarian who in the course of her duty, fell victim of the dreaded Ebola disease. Adadevoh, a descendant of the historic Herbert Macauley and Bishop Ajayi Crowther lineage, was a wife, mother, sister and friend to many whose hearts are broken by her untimely death. For the rare and exemplary courage she displayed, her memory should be nationally preserved. Adedevoh epitomized Nigerian womanhood exhibiting total commitment to duty and selflessness in the drive for accelerated national development", she said.

Chikwe then called on all Nigerian women to join in the token demand for a public health institution to be named after Adadevoh, and her statue to be erected as well. This, in her estimation, will help to sustain the history of sacrifices made by Nigerian women for peace and unity of Nigeria. The PDP National Women Leader also prayed for God's mercy and protection for Adadevoh's loss. "May her sacrifice for the prosperity of Nigerian womanhood and national unity never be in vain. Amen," she said.
