Thirteen years after the death of his wife, Niyi Aderinokun, the Nigerian-born, New York based socialite has married again. The handsome socialite, who is popularly called Niyi Obodo, got married last Saturday, September 6, to Kemi Coker, his lover of

many years. 
The ELITES gathered that the wedding ceremony took place in Houston, Texas, in the United States of America. The bride, Kemi is a financial analyst and works in Citibank. She is in her early 40's and lives in Los Angeles, California, but has been a regular sight in New York since she met her husband four years ago. Her marriage to Niyi Obodo is her second.

He became very popular when most artistes, particularly, K1 De Ultimate waxed and dedicated a couple of albums to him. Obodo, who used to be financially buoyant, operated a thriving business on Flatbush in Brooklyn district in New York.

However, Niyi Obodo's popularity assumed a messy dimension, when his second wife, Tobi Aramide Thomas was murdered by unknown assailants in April 2001. Tobi was shot in the wee hours of that fateful Sunday morning, at a location, very close to Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island. She was in the company of Tayo Alakiu and Pauline Obinna, in her white M-Class Mercedez Benz. It was gathered that Tobi and her friends had partied at a night club, and were heading home when the tragic incident happened. 
Tobi, the daughter of Justice Omololu Thomas, a retired judge, and his wife, Olufemi, ran a beauty pal our, Panache on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Ikoyi. Her marriage to Niyi Obodo was blessed with two children- Mayowa, 19 and Temilola, 16. One of the conjectures linked the husband to her death. But Obodo was able to wriggle out of it proving his innocence. After Tobi's gruesome murder, her parents dragged Niyi Obodo to court to contest the guardianship of her children. The case, dragged for many years before it was amicably settled. 

After Tobi's death, it took quite a while before Niyi Obodo was able to gather his equilibrium. But he got some sort of socour from his female friends. The popular socialite has been linked with some popular society girls, notably, Dolapo, Bola and several others. Niyi Obodo's first marriage was to Raliat Rafiu, a beauty and permanent make-up expert. The marriage crashed over allegations of adultery and infidelity.
