SAD! HOW SON'S DEATH FORCED LAGOS BIG BOY, LATEEF BELO-OSAGIE TO CANCEL 50TH BIRTHDAY PLAN

-Exclusive Details of the Incident

An unexpected tragic incident has forced famous Lagos Big Boy, Lateef Belo- Osagie to cancel his 50th birthday celebration plan. Sources disclosed to The ELITES that the tragedy involved Belo-Osagie's 18-year old son, and it occurred a couple of weeks back. The young Belo-Osagie was reported to have died, while staying with his mother, Aishat, at her matrimonial home in Ikoyi. 

The ELITES gathered that the young lad was a student at the prestigious Yale University in the United States, and he had only returned to Nigeria the day before the tragic incident. The incident has left Lateef shattered with grief, thus, prompting him to cancel the elaborate plan that had been mapped out to mark his 50th birthday celebration. 

The deceased was the product of the union between Lateef and Aisha. The marriage crashed many years ago, over issues that bordered on irreconcilable differences. Lateef later went ahead and married Toyin. But the marriage also crashed a couple of years back. On her own part, Aisha has since settled down to a second marriage with a hugely famous Big Boy. She has consistently maintained a quiet and blissful lifestyle, until this tragedy happened. Aisha is the daughter of a late General and former Director of the Nigerian Armed Forces Medical Services and Alhaja Saudat, a popular Lagos socialite from Okene in Kogi State. 

Lateef is the managing director of Hackett Nigeria Limited, a telecommunications equipment and parts supplier to leading operators in Africa. He is also the chairman of Western Pacific Communications Limited, a telecommunication firm that specializes in pre-paid calling cards i.e.The Connect Phone Cards. 

Lateef is the last of the four children of Professor Tiamiyu Belo-Osagie, the late renowned medical practitioner and gynecologist, and his wife, Mama Iyalekitue (née Bazuaye). His other siblings are Hakeem Belo-Osagie, the boardroom guru, business mogul and former Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Sheri Williams (married to Folarin, the son of late legal luminary, FRA Williams) and Rilwan Belo-Osagie, the Managing Director of FSDH Group.
