Contrary to reports, former
Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not be nominated as a running mate
to General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) who recently defeated four others to clinch
the candidature of the All Progressives Congress party primaries in Lagos.
Several sources disclosed that despite his initial interest, Tinubu is very aware
that he is not an acceptable candidate to inspire confidence in Buhari’s
candidature and the APC ticket to challenge incumbent President Goodluck
Jonathan in February 2015 Presidential
election.
The sources maintained however that the APC
national leader will be instrumental to selecting Mr. Buhari’s deputy for the
election.
Buhari is expected to choose a running mate by Monday
