NUHU RIBADU IS NOT PDP GUBER CANDIDATE- ADAMAWA PDP

Nuhu Ribadu

Some members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Adamawa State are beginning to raise eyebrows about whether there are not saboteurs in the national body of the party who want to destroy it.

According to some of them who would not hesitate to swear on it, the National Working Committee of the party could be serving their masters elsewhere.

They posit that the body, in their quest for power and wealth have failed to realize that they are tarnishing the hard earned image of President Goodluck Jonathan, whose image is being tarnished by those ignorant of the goings on at Wadata Plaza.

In Adamawa state, the purported election of Malam Nuhu Ribadu has not only drawn the ire of the electorate but curses and indignation from the people as well. Aside the State Assembly primaries which was duly held in the state, and was void of rancor, no primaries for the National and Governorship seats has taken place.

To the shock of many however, it was devastating to hear of a purported primaries in Abuja even when the state was not on fire as alleged by the powers that be. They cited the successful primaries conducted in Adamawa by the All Progressive Congress (APC).

At a stakeholders meeting held on Monday at its PDP secretariat, stakeholders of the party said their attention was drawn to the announcement of Malam Nuhu Ribadu as the PDP candidate in Adamawa State.

To this end, they anchored, “we the PDP Exco, stakeholders and the entire supporters disassociate ourselves from the purported primaries and fictitious announcement.

According to General Aliyu Kama (rtd) who read the text of the message on behalf of the other governorship aspirants the only legal primaries that ever took place in Adamawa was the State Assembly primaries.

They called on the National Working Committee of the PDP to as a matter of urgency cancel the purported illegal primaries held in Abuja, which they see as a contravention to the court orders and the electoral act and should also organize and conduct the remaining primaries.

They called on the National Working Committee of the PDP to as a matter of urgency cancel the purported illegal primaries held in Abuja, which they see as a contravention to the court orders and the electoral act and should also organize and conduct the remaining primaries being that of the National Assembly and Governorship as provided for in the law.

It is gathered that all the aggrieved governorship candidates signed the text.
