PARALLEL PDP PRIMARIES: CHUMA NZERIBE DEFEATS ANDY UBA FOR ANAMBRA SOUTH SENATORIAL SEAT

Senator Andy Uba

After a protracted legal fireworks and maneuvers at peoples democratic party [PDP] headquarters and the Presidency, Hon. Chuma Nzeribe, former two-term Hon. Member of House of Representative and the ubiquitous former Security Adviser of Anambra State, won the PDP senate primary election conducted the at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi. At this parallel PDP primary election, he polled 317 Votes to defeat his old foe and the incumbent senator representing Anambra South Senatorial zone in the National Assembly.
It is recalled that a High Court in Abuja had on 1/11/2014 invalidated the PDP Ward Delegates List derived from the 3-person per Ward delegates election held on Saturday 1st. November 2014. The invalidation, as gathered, voided the parallel primary election
Chuma Nzeribe
conducted by the group which saw Senator Andy Ubah victorious for the Anambra south senatorial district.  As a result, the likes of Andy Uba, Uche Ekwunife & Stella Odua who conducted parallel PDP primaries were deemed null and void.

It is recalled that the PDP result sheets were impounded by PDP Stakeholders in the State and deposited with the Commissioner of Police in Awka. This arose because federal high court Abuja had nullified their delegate list in its judgment last week Friday. None of the groups were given the PDP result sheets.
