Penultimate weekend, the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom, played host to a galaxy of prominent dignitaries, who came to honour Olorogun Michael Effiong, the Editor of Ovation International Magazine, as he buried his father, Pa Ime James Effiong, who died on April 11, 2016, was a retired Naval Rating, who veered into business many years ago.
The chief host, Olorogun Effiong and his lovely wife, Kemi, ensured that their guests were treated to a first class reception, during their stay in Uyo.
Notable among the guests who graced the event were; Bashorun Dele Momodu, Prince Adedamola Aderemi, Chief Tunji Alapini, Chief Iyiola Ayoade, Godwin Mekweye, (Vivid Imagination), Charles Aigbe, Benny Obaze (Bevista), Dotun Oladipo, Toyin Kolade, Elisha Attai, Bisoye Fagade, Akin Adeoya, Loye Amzat, Biodun Kupoluyi, Azuh Arinze, Howie Tee, Chris Kehinde Nwandu, and many others. The Akwa Ibom State government was ably represented by the Speaker, Rt. Honourable Duke, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Honourable Anikan Umanna, and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
