The Royal wedding of Princess Hafsatu Saddikah and Abubakar Umar Kurfi in Kano was concluded with a dinner party on 24 December, 2016.
Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Tambuwal, wife of Sokoto state governor, Mallam Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and the founder of MMAWT Legacy Initiative, was in Kano, her home state, to represent Hajiya Aisha Mohammadu Buhari.
Hajiya.Tambuwal officiated the cutting of the cake, and in her goodwill message, she thanked the wives of the Emir of Kano for their show of love and prayed for a peaceful marital life for the bride and groom .
