Last Thursday, 12 January, 2017, the entire Lagos social establishment converged to celebrate foremost industrialist, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, the Chairman of Eleganza Group of Companies and the Are of Lagos.
The event was held at his expansive Oluwa Ni Sola Estate, with the theme colour of gold, complimenting the beautifully decorated ambience of the home, the distinguished guests came in style. While the female personalities radiated in their gold attire, the colour of the day looking stylish, the men chose to wear white. The celebrant, Chief Razaq Okoya looked ever youthful and dapper in his white danshiki styled attire, with a touch of gold damask. For a man celebrating 77 years, it is highly commendable that not only is he a proud success story as a businessman, but he is also a healthy, amiable personality with so much life. Surrounded by his beautiful family, it was truly an intimate celebration of happiness for the Okoya family.
Entertained to mouth-watering delicacies, wines and deserts, guests lounged in the beautiful home, as they celebrated with the Okoyas. Many of the crème de la crème in the social circle that were in attendance included the first lady of Lagos State, Mrs Bolanle Ambode, Princess Abba Folawiyo, Otunba Subomi Balogun and his lovely wife, Oba Tejuoso and his 3 oloris, Prince Adedoyin and his wife, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his wife, Erelu Ojuolape, Princess Orile Ere, Mrs Asemota, Mrs Maiden Ibru, Nike Makinde, Jumoke Akinjide, Chief Mike Inegbese and his wife, Mary, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Mrs Bola Shagaya, Ms Nike Osinowo, and a host of others. As a traditional man and lover of feel good music, Music legend, Demola Olota and De Clique Vocals band were tasked with the responsibility of entertaining guests throughout the duration of the party.
One of the sights to behold at the celebration was the presence of the beautiful, elegant and stylish Managing Director of the Eleganza Group of Companies and wife of the celebrant, Mrs Shade Okoya, who couldn’t hold back her happiness and excitement for her loving husband as she danced to her fill at the celebration. It was a royal celebration for the Okoyas with family and friends in attendance to mark the momentous day.
