BREAKING: Body of Doctor Who Jumped Into Lagos Lagoon Recovered, Identified

THE body of the drowned medical doctor, who jumped into the lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge, was on Wednesday afternoon recovered.
The family of the deceased doctor have identified the body to be that of Allwell Orji, who was until his death a consultant at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Tiamiyu Adesina confirmed the recovery of the body to journalists.

Adesina said that the body was recovered around 4pm on Wednesday by a combined team of emergency workers, who began the operation since Sunday evening.
The family of the deceased doctor and the driver, who was with him, when he jumped into the lagoon were invited to identity him.
The recovered body was identified as that of the medical doctor by his family members and the doctor.
The LASEMA GM said “The body of Dr Orji was recovered at about 4pm today, March 22, 2017 by the Marine Police; the body was identified by some of his family including the driver in the presence of the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Mr Fatai Owoseni.”
He also stated that “that body will be handed over to the family while investigation continues.
The LASEMA General Manager met with the family members to express condolences on behalf of the Lagos State government and therefore declared the search closed.
