The 3rd Annual Commemoration of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit currently going on in Seoul, Republic of South Korea, couldn't have come at a more better time, for Nigeria, especially if one looks at the present unveiling situation, in the country. The long and hard fought battle against the Boko Haram and the wave of destruction and displacement it left behind, the present misplaced agitation for secession by some group of young people etc is what prompted the wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari to send a high powered delegation, led by the wife of the Sokoto State Governor, Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to the summit.
In her hand written remarks to the factional session , which was chaired by IWPG Africa Desk Director Nancy Roussopoulos, Mrs Buhari noted happily that this year's event aims to establish collaborative synergy between governments and civil society groups with a view to develop education , religious and ethnic tolerance , moreso a culture of peace as well as foster harmony amongst religions.
She also described the slogan of this year's event "TOGETHER FOR PEACE AS MESSENGERS OF PEACE" as apt and timely.
Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari also urged the deliberations to reflect and discourage the issue of hate speech and bullying at all levels, as these twin evils have been credited on many occasions with igniting Violence and War.
The Nigerian delegation also consists of Hajia Binta Muazu, an associate of Mrs Buhari, an APC Stalwart, A National Mobilizer of women and youth, and also the Director of Women Affairs, Buhari Support Organisation. She is also the Coordinator Northwest APC Women Presidential campaign Initiatives and Member APC Directorate of Women presidential council alongside some members of the Future Assured Team of the wife of the president .
