World Mental Health Day: Hajia Maryam Mairo Tambuwal's MMAWT Legacy Team Visits Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital In Kware (PHOTOS)

World Mental Health Day is observed on 10 October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health.
The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
To commemorate the day, a team of youth and volunteers of MMAWT legacy initiative, visited the Federal Neuro Psychiatric hospital located in Kware local government area of sokoto state. The team was conducted round the wards by the Director Social services of the hospital,where they interacted with the patients and staff that care for the patients.
A Goodwill message and a prayer for quick recovery was relayed to the patients by the leader of the Visitation team. Hajiya Maryam Mairo Aminu Waziri Tambuwal prayed to Allah to grant them a speedy recovery and called on the staff to view their duties as a service to God and humanity.
The Director Social services of the hospital, thanked the wife of the governor for the gesture and also described the visit as a long awaited one.
Gifts of toiletries and other essentials were distributed to the patients and staff by the team members.
