The State of Osun is set to witness one of it’s high profile gatherings of politicians, media personalities, fun and camaraderie as amiable Semiu Okanlawon, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola rolls out the drums to celebrate his 50th birthday.
Semiu Okanlawon fondly called S-OK by friends and political associates has been a constant presence in the life of the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the State of Osun, from inception, and to an enviable degree, positioned his principal and the state positively, even in the thick of crisis.
The much anticipated birthday celebration holds on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the King’s Riverside Resorts and Hotel, Odo-Oba, Iwo/Ibadan road, Iwo Town, the State of Osun.
It is expected that Okanlawon whose career started in The Guardian to the Political Desk of The PUNCH will have as a major highlight of his Golden birthday a Public Lecture titled: “The New Age, the New Idea and the New Thinking in Nigeria Affairs” to be delivered by Dr. Basiru Ajibola, State of Osun’s Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice.
