A former female lawmaker, Risikat Ajoke is currently stewing over the pain of her break-up with her younger lover, Oyerinde. This former lawmaker was a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly from 2007-2011. Risikat is in her mid-50s and she currently serves as a Commissioner in the Lagos House of Assembly. During her years of service in the LHA, Risikat built a reputation as a controversial lady. She was She was always in a fight with her colleagues. One of such incidents that came to mind was her fight with another female lawmaker, who called her ‘Omo Alata’ (Pepper seller). On another occasion, she stirred controversy when she feuded with a popular caterer over her refusal to pay for the catering service rendered to her.
For many years, Risikat enjoyed the company of her lover, Oyerinde, who is much younger than her before they broke up recently. The former lawmaker is supposedly married to a music maestro. But the marital status of the music maestro can best be described as being complicated. This is because he is married to several women, but none of them lives with him. However, the fact, that Risikat bears his name, enhanced her chance of victory during the 2007 election. Notwithstanding the fact that he has refused to allow any of his wives to live with him, this Risikat’s husband accords her, the usual respect whenever they run into each other at parties.
According to the story being spread by close friends of this politician, she was involved in a secret romance with Oyerinde, whom she met about some years ago. Sources disclosed that Risikat was nursing the hope that her lover would marry her as his second wife. Oyerinde, who is in his early 40’s, is married with five children, and his family lives in Dublin. A close source disclosed that the two lovers strove to be discreet about their affair. This informed why they always traveled to South Africa, for their weekend tryst. And of course, Oyerinde, enjoyed a lot of perks during the period the politician served as a lawmaker in LHA.
Somehow, Oyerinde got wearied out by Risikat’s cantankerous lifestyle and finally dumped her. His decision didn’t go down well with his lover and she has been stewing over the break-up ever since. Risikat has been lamenting on her ‘wasted investment’ on her former lover. She is yet to get over the fact that Oyerinde dumped her for 'greener pastures' after milking her dry.
