CONTROVERSY TRAILS ESCAPE OF CHIBOK SCHOOL GIRLS

The supposed escape of five more of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls earlier in the week has continued to generate a lot of controversy as Nigerians have been asking questions over the mode of the school girls’ reappearance as well as the whole issue of the kidnap or abduction in the first instance.
It was not the first time that some of the girls would quietly find their ways home after their alleged kidnap by terrorists believed to be Boko Haram. In other parts of the world such escaping girls are handed over to security operatives who grill them and source information on the location of the others as well as how they were able to escape given the fact that the Chibok girls are believed to be in the Sambisa forest which is presently under security conundrum from not only Nigerian but also foreign intelligence experts. Top military sources are said to be miffed that the whole abduction and effots to get the girls freed have been politicized to the extent that people who ordinarily should have helped in bringing an end to the saga are now keeping to themselves and are not forthcoming with the required information thus further fuelling the reports that there is indeed more to the kidnap than the authorities in the state are willing to divulge.

According to sources, the military is miffed that escaping kidnapped victims ordinarily should at least help the security agencies in locating those still in captivity rather than just disappear into the society unless of course they have some things to hide which they believe the security agencies should ordinarily not know.
