The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Dikko Abubakar is set to become a father again. His wife, Zarah Bunu, whom he married last year is pregnant with their first baby.
Abubakar, 54, got married to Zarah, 36, exactly nineteen months after losing his first wife, Maryam. The wedding took place last September in Abuja, at a very lavish ceremony, which recorded a large turn-out of dignitaries. Among the dignitaries who witnessed the marriage of the police boss include, Vice-President Namadi Sambo, Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, multi-billionaire industrialist, Aliko Dangote, and state governors.
Also at the wedding were two former Heads of State, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, and Ibrahim Babangida, Minister of the FCT, Bala Mohammed and members of the National Assembly. The wedding (fatiha) which took place at the National Mosque, Abuja was conducted by the Chief Imam of the mosque, Ustaz Mohammed.
Zarah is the daughter of Alhaji Bunu Sheriff Musa, a former Minister. She bagged her first degree in Civil Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering, University of Loughborough, United Kingdom. She works at the External Relations Department of Afren, an independent oil and gas company. Also, Zarah serves as the President of the Police Officers's Wives Association (POWA)
