WHY TWO NORTHERN BILLIONAIRES ABUBAKAR ALIYU AND DAHIRU MANGA ARE AT WAR

This is the story of two famous billionaires- Dahiru Mangal and Abubakar Aliyu, who don't see eye to eye. they are expected to be mutual friends after all they are both into oil and sundry businesses but the two business magnates can barely tolerate each other.
Dahiru Mangal, the billionaire businessman behind AFDIN Group of Companies comprising of MAX Airlines, Construction and Mainasawa Oil and Mangal Oil as well as Mangal Transport is not one to be taken for granted. Over the years, he has built a reputation that is well known on account of his shrewd business practices. In the last eight years, his airline has been one of the major carriers used for the Hajj business. Aside this, his various businesses are also believed to enjoy strong government patronages.
On his own part, Abubakar Aliyu, the owner of A.A, oil is also a successful businessman who has also built a reputation as a major government boogeyman. He has many friends in government circles. Notable among some of his close friends are Chief James Ibori, the former Delta State governor and Mohammed Adoke, the current Minister of Justice. Aliyu has business interest in oil, but his interest is more pronounced in real estate and properties.
As businessmen, the paths of Manga and Aliyu have crossed over time, and obviously, the A.A.oil boss seems to have been worsted.
The ELITES gathered that during the period Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former CBN Governor was in office, both billionaires had bid for a construction job that ran into billions of naira.
Sources gathered that the then CBN governor, looked beyond his closeness to Dahiru Mangal, and expressed his optimism that he was more likely to give the apex bank a better delivery. Hence, it was then decided that, rather than allow the choice of who got the job to be influenced by the strings pulled by A.A. Oil boss, things should be allowed to follow its due course. The end result was that Abubakar Aliyu lost out of the contract job, and since then the two top businessmen have been at loggerheads with each other.
The quarrel between the two is so pronounced that they naturally avoid each other with one keeping off any social engagement where he knows the other would attend.
