Vice presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the 2011 presidential election and former Managing Director of Guarantee Trust Bank, GTB, Mr. Fola Adeola, has denied newspaper reports that he was preparing for the gubernatorial race in Ogun State.
A national newspaper had published the story that Adeola was gearing up for the Ogun State governorship race.
But in a statement, signed on Adeola’s behalf by Jimi Disu and made available to The ELITES, Adeola said he “would like to state in very clear terms that the story was completely false as he has no desire whatsoever to contest for the governorship of Ogun State in 2015 or at any point in time in the future.”
Wishing the present governor, Ibikunle Amosun and indeed all aspirants well, Adeola said he believed that his services to the nation would be better achieved in other capacities.
