KIKE OYEMADE COUNTS BLESSING AT 60

Few days ago, one of Nigeria's most prodigious business entrepreneurs, Dr (Mrs) Kikelomo Oyemade clocked 60. The milestone age was elaborately celebrated as family, friends, well-wishers and business associates converged to savour the joy of the day with the birthday girl.

Oyemade is an entrepreneur with touch and passion for excellence in performance. As a consultant, she has managed Lagos State owned hospitality facilities, Akodo Resort, for many years and she has generated so much fund for the Lagos government through this means. She also established now rested fun spot, Mamundo, at Victoria Island, where big boys and girls used to hang out.

She ventured into business after 18 years as a banker during which she rose to become one of the two Female Bank Chief Inspectors in Nigeria in 1993/1994. She moved into business in 1999 with the establishment of Kik & Kem Investment Limited and commenced operations with the management of Eko Tourist Beach Hotel, Akodo, Lagos State after a brief venture into Interior Decoration. She had since transformed Eko Tourist Beach Resort from a 30-Bedroom/Chalet Resort Facility.

Her company had also at one time managed GeeKay Hotels, Effurun, Warri, Delta State and Miccom Golf & Resort, Ada,Osun State (F & B unit).
 Oyemade who currently holds the position of the Group Managing Director/CEO had transformed Kik & Kem Investments Limited from the indigenous company to a group with interest in hospitality, construction, lifestyle and designs among others.

Oyemade, from her humble begining had transformed an idea into reality of group of businesses of a combined staff strength of about 100, contrbuting her own own small quota to the country's workforce.

Oyemade is a Fellow of the Certified Board of Administration (CBAN), and Member of the Nigerian Hotel & Catering Institute (NHCI) among others. She is the former Vice Chairman of the Federation of Tourism Association in Nigeria (FTAN) Lagos State Chapter.
