ROAD TO AFRIMA- 2FACE, NAETO C, SKALES, GBENGA ADEYINKA, OTHERS STORM UNILAG




 As part of the build up events to the premium event in November, the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, will be holding a concert to communicate the vision and ideals of AFRIMA to the vibrant youth generation in Nigeria, the host country, on October 15, 2014 at the Indoor Sport Hall of the University of Lagos tagged 'Road to AFRIMA' on campus and launching of Vote-Not-Fight-Campaign.



The concert will feature some of the host country’s best artistes and AFRIMA Awards’ nominees such as, 2face Idibia, Skales, Naeto C, Jaywon, Niyola, Zeez, Dammy Krane, Queen Moda, Efa, Saeon, Joel, Eedris Abdulkareem, Seriki, Tony One Week and many others as the event will be anchored by a foremost Compere and Comedian in Africa, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, an alumnus of the University of Lagos. The International Committee of AFRIMA deemed it fit to give music fans in the country a tip of the iceberg on what to be expected at the award ceremony November 9.
The headline act of the concert is the Nigeria’s celebrated afro-pop singer Tuface Idibia who is superbly excited to be in the music train and associated with the objectives of AFRIMA of pursuing an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa through the instrumentality of music. The Vote-not-fight-campaign shares the same vision of eradicating negative reports about the continent and promoting Africa through music.
The Executive Producer, AFRIMA, Mr. Mike Dada ‘’thanked the artistes who have shown passion and commitment in supporting AFRIMA events with their talents and professional services for the benefits of the image and perception of Africa. Surely, Africa will rise’’, he concluded.
The voting continues in the 32 categories of the award till 4th Novemeber, 2014. The main award ceremony comes up on Sunday, November 9 in Lagos, Nigeria. It will be preceded by the AFRIMA Music Village between November 4 and 7; a four day festival of non-stop music and exhibition from African countries and performances by African artistes. It will be followed by African Music Summit, November 6-7, with the theme “Reviving the Business of Music in Africa". The two-day conference will be a platform for the music industry stakeholders to engage and deliberate on how the industry can be nurtured and be a major contributor to national and continental economies.
