WIMBIZ HOLDS 13TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN NOVEMBER

The WIMBIZ 13th Annual Conference is scheduled to hold November 3rd - 4th, 2014 at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria.
This year's conference with the theme, "Nigeria Rising...Accelerating Transformation, will critically look into Nigeria's growth and development by examining trends, opportunities and best practices in various sectors. The conference will expose women to opportunities in Nigeria, provide them with tools to position themselves to maximize those opportunities and equip them with necessary life skills to ensure their overall wellbeing. They will in turn invest their resources in building the nation.

To achieve this, we have put together seven plenary and six breakout sessions on topics that are relevant to the theme of the conference.

Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), is a Nigerian non-profit organization formed in 2002 by 14 individuals (13 women and 1 man) who identified a serious issue concerning women in the workplace and in business, particularly in the areas of leadership capacity building and avenues for networking for growth.

Its vision is "to be the catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women and their contribution to nation building". The vision is borne out of a desire to assist women manage the manifold challenges they face in the workplace and in so doing enable them fulfil their potential and be meaningful contributors to economic development. This vision is aimed at improving the success rate of female entrepreneurs and increasing the proportion of women in senior positions in corporate organizations.

WIMBIZ' mission is to inspire and empower women with high potential to attain leadership positions in business, management and public service.
