Following yesterday's emergence of Hon. Dakuku Peterside, House of Representatives Committee Chairman on Petroleum, as the governorship candidate of the APC in a seamless consensus arrangement, some angry Ogoni youth today stormed the Government House in protest. Although a harmless crowd, the Government House security however shot in the air to scare them when the protesters started inching towards violence, burning fire and so on. There is no one supporter of Senator Magnus Abe amongst the protesters. Abe had immediately declared support for Peterside and pledged to work with him in larger interest. As you read this, Abe and Governor Rotimi Amaechi are in a meeting devising means to quell the protest.
