Dayo was brutally murdered by her family's domestic servant on Tuesday, 20 December, 2016. The houseboy, Joel Ludgo, had stabbed Dayo in the neck and heart, shortly after she returned from the office.
She was aged 33.
Her funeral rites began on Wednesday, 28 December, with a Candlelight vigil. On Thursday, 29 December, a Service of Songs and Funeral Service will hold at 10am, at Guilding Light Assembly, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi. The Internment will follow at The Vaults and Garden, Ikoyi.
A celebration of her life will also take place today, at Highgate Road Chapel, Chetwynd Road, London NW5 IBU. This will be hosted in her honour by the Guiding Light Church, United Kingdom.
