The speculation, hovering around the crashed marriage of Florence Seriki, the petite lady behind OMATEK Computers and her husband, Ola, has been confirmed to be true. For several months, there was speculation that the union was going through some strain. The Serikis' close friends were reported to have gone from pillar to post, in their bid to quench the frenzied embers of discord between the couple. Alas, the situation degenerated to such an alarming height that saw the duo going their separate ways when they could no longer put up with each other.
A source who is close to the couple disclosed that the relationship between them took off on a sound note. Initially, there were fears that the marriage might not last into its fifth year, but the couple proved their cynics wrong, as their marriage lasted almost 20 years. However, the once happy atmosphere in the Serikis' home evaporated a fee years ago. Florence was reported to have taken to treating her husband with disdain, as her business empire began to grow. She was alleged to have shirked in her duties as a wife, since she hardly stayed at home. The issue of infidelity was also raised as one of the factors that led to the crash of the union. The Serikis were alleged to have driven their neighbours to the end of their tethers with their constant fights.
Ola has since moved out from their VGC, Lagos home to start a new life, which he hopes will be devoid of discomfiture and heartbreak. Florence is also directing her focus on revamping her business empire, which almost crumpled under the weight of financial insolvency. However, both Florence and Ola remain good friends.
