WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT MIKE OGHIADOMHE AND STELLA ODUAH'S 'CLOSENESS

An atmosphere of anxiety has continued to pervade Aso Rock, following the sack of Mike Oghiadomhe as Chief of Staff and Stella Ada Oduah, the former Minister of Aviation by President Goodluck Jonathan last week.
The removal of the Ogiadomhe has been attributed to reports linking him with some alleged shady deals in the nation’s cash cow, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and a series of official lapses that have been going on in the presidency, which were linked to his office. Oduah's removal is being linked with the series of controversies, which had been trailing her since her appointment in 2011.
However, the removal of duo of Ogiadomhe and Oduah is interpreted in many quarters as the commencement of a cleansing exercise in the Presidency ahead of the 2015 elections. Oduah, who was banking on the strong affinity she shared with Jonathan, had banked on the fact that she would sail through the sea of controversies that characterized her administration in the Aviation ministry. She is still reeling from the shock of being booted out so suddenly.
Meanwhile, some close watchers find the sack of Ogiadomhe and Oduah very intriguing. This is because, unknown to many Nigerians, the two are known to be very 'close', and they go way back. Whenever Oduah had any of her down moments, it was Ogiadomhe that she always turned to, for comfort. The two close 'friends' are currently finding solace in each other. Meanwhile, Oduah, who helped to 'source' for funds during Jonathan's campaign in 2011, is reported to be gearing up to be called upon to play that role again in the forthcoming election.
