One gist, which is being discussed at the moment, centers on the lifestyle of Lanre Folawiyo, the famous Big Boy. The gist has to do with his single status. There seems to be a growing concern over how Lanre has been coping with fatherhood, since he lost his beloved wife, Fadeke in 2004. The beautiful lawyer trained lady, whom he married in April 2000, was one of the daughters of the late Otunba TOS Benson. Lanre is the son of the late Baba Adinni of Nigeria, Chief Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo, and he heads the Folawiyo’s energy company. Lanre loved Fadeke without reservation. Thus, he was devastated by her death and ten years after, he is yet to get over the shock of losing someone so dear to him. Presently, Lanre is very much occupied with taking care of his son, Amil. So besssoted is Lanre with his son that he hardly allows him to stay with either of his grandmothers-Ester Benson and Alhaja Mulikat Bolatito Folawiyo. According to the gist being peddled within the Island, Lanre is not too keen on rushing into marriage because he is yet to find a suitable partner, who will smother Amil with the motherly love which Fadeke would have showered on him, had she been alive. For now, Lanre is just happy, playing daddy to the boy who meant the world to him. However, Fadeke's younger sister, Tiwalade Kehinde Ukeje has been doing a great job looking after Amil.
