AKINSOLA AKINFEMIWA EYES MIMIKO'S JOB

By 2015, Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Rahman Mimiko will be winding up his second time in office. He is reported to be searching for a worthy successor. The Ondo State gubernatorial election has been scheduled to hold in 2016. Already, many notable politicians have indicated their interest for the seat. Sources disclosed that the name Akinsola Akinfemiwa, the former Managing Director of Skye Bank is being whispered as one of the contenders for the post. A seasoned banker with over 30 years of banking experience, Akinfemiwa is yet to decide on which party platform to contest. But he is said to have sympathy for the All Progressives Congress, APC. However, he might have to jostle for the party’s ticket with Sunday Ehindero, the former Inspector General of Police and Senator Remi Okunriboye, the Owo born prominent politician and businessman. Rotimi Akeredolu, the gubernatorial aspirant in the 2012 electon is yet to indicate his intention to contest in the election. It is gathered that the APC leaders in the state are not too keen on rooting for his candidacy. This is not unconnected with his not-too-impressive performace during the last election
