AREGBESOLA RUBBISHES CRITICS, REVEALS LADY BEHIND OSUN SCHOOL UNIFORM

Folake Oyemade

Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has replied critics of his administration over the school uniforms contract linked to his wife, Serifat. The governor responding to the allegations from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) camp, said it was not only false but laughable. In a chat with pressmen in Osogbo, he dismissed the report among other false allegations against him and his

administration. He said that the bid for the contract was not only made public, it was advertised in national daily newspapers.

He revealed that the lady, Folake Oyemade, the Managing Director of the popular Sam and Sara

Ventures Ltd, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway gave an offer that was not only cheaper, irresistible but added value.

“Our intention was to use the local tailors but they

insisted on N3, 500 per uniform. We were in the thick of this when a lady just walked in and she offered to produce the fabric and sew at N1, 500 each against N3, 500 from local tailors. I just felt this must be a miracle from God. Nothing could be more encouraging and I asked for more that if we were to give you a contract close to a billion you must impact on our economy. So I told her if she is getting such a huge contract, you must site your garment factory here and she simply accepted and said she had an offer from America to construct a factory and why not if we would give her land. I told her land is not an issue. Lo, and behold the lady went to Bank of Industry with our offer letter and got a loan of a billion Naira that is Omoluabi Garment Factory on your way to the state capital and over 3000 of our people are working there. Who is this lady? She is the lady behind the popular Sam and Sara along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. It is interesting to us that the state has a stake in Omoluabi Garment Factory. You are free to do your background check if any member of my family has a stake in Omoluabi Garment Factory. It is totally irresponsible of anybody to link any member of my family to Omoluabi Garment Factory.
