NIGERIAN POLITICAL ICON, RASHEED SHITTA-BEY MARKS 80TH BIRTHDAY IN GRAND STYLE

Chief Rasheed Shitta-Bey

One of Nigeria's most celebrated political icons, Chief Rasheed Adewale Shitta-Bey is 80 today, Tuesday, September 16. An ardent disciple of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Shitta-Bey is the chairman of Jabitah International Hotel. 
He is a former member of the House of Representatives, the founder of the defunct Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP) and a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC. 
The 80th birthday celebration of Chief Shitta-Bey will kick off today with a Thanksgiving Service at his private residence in Eric Moore, Surulere. This will then be followed with a lecture and reception. The event will climax on Sunday, September 21, with a special Thanksgiving Service, in which Pastor Enoch Adeboye will be ministering. A grand reception. will then follow, and Evangelist Ebenezer Obey will be on the bandstand to entertain the guests.
