OONI FELICITATES WITH OYEDEPO AT 60

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, felicitating with the founder and presiding bishop of The Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 60th birthday, has described Oyedepo as “pride of Yorubaland, a shining citizen of our great country across the globe and a world pillar in Christendom.”

Oba Sijuwade, showering encomiums, expressed delight at Oyedepo’s remarkable sojourn thus far, particularly, his commitment and religious practice of untainted evangelism over a period of 33 years.

“The life of Bishop Oyedepo has been a reel of miracles- a very powerful manifestation of God’s very existence and his very many capabilities.

“We thank God for the life of this very great man, a Nigerian preacher, founder and presiding bishop of the Winners’ Chapel, a church that has, without any government’s assistance, established three universities — Covenant University in Ota, Landmark University in Omuaran and the Crown University in Calabar, which is very much on the way,” the traditional ruler noted.

Bishop Oyedepo had been credited with the feat of putting up a church auditorium capable of accommodating over 100,000 people at a sitiing. Bishop Oyedepo’s church, the Winners’ Chapel, had planted more than 300 churches in different cities in Nigeria and in about 63 other cities around the world.
