ABIA GUBER: ALEX OTTI RUNS TO ORJI UZOR KALU'S MOTHER FOR HELP

Alex Otti

Information from competent sources in Abia State indicates that all may not be well with gubernatorial candidacy of the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA] candidate, Chief Alex Otti. This as some of the politicians in the state gathered last night [January 2, 2015] at the home of the former governor of Abia State for a last night meeting. The meeting was labeled an emergency.

According to the information, the former Abia Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu and the factional gubernatorial candidate of APGA in Abia State, Chief Alex Otti held a closed door and/or secret meeting at the residence of the Orji Uzor Kalu’s country home. The meeting was held in preparation for the 2015 polls and attended by the mother of Orji Uzor Kalu, Mrs. Eunice Kalu [Queen Mother Odiuko], the People Progressive Alliance [PPA] Chairman Emeka Okafor, and selected crew of editors from Sun and Telegraph newspapers.

According to an authoritative source who claims to have been present at the said meeting, indicated that Alex Otti had pleaded for the said meeting to seek the support of Orji Uzor Kalu and his mother ahead of the gubernatorial elections. The meeting is reported to have yielded some positives for the APGA candidate. This is as 247ureports.com gathered that Chief Alex Otti got assurances of his support – after Chief Otti presented an Ecobank cheque to Orji Uzor Kalu in exchange for his support. Orji Uzor Kalu also stretched his support by instructing the PPA gubernatorial candidate, Chief Udensi to step down for the APGA candidate. “PPA will work for you, I don’t mind not having a PPA guber candidate in this polls, Sun and Telegraph newspapers had started working for you. And all my political structures will work deliver you”.

It has been alleged that the former Diamond bank MD is troubled by an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] over his financial activities while at the Diamond Bank as the Managing Director.
