AREMO SEGUN ONIRU'S 50TH BIRTHDAY RE-UNITES DON JAZZY, D'BANJ AND WANDE COAL

Aremo Segun Oniru

A few hours ago, Nigerians woke to a video shared by Don Jazzy, where, he, alongside D’banj and Wande Coal, performed the hit track "Pere" from their Mo’Hits days, at the 50th birthday celebration of Aremo Segun Oniru, Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development. The stately event took place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island.

Aremo Oniru is known to be D’banj’s godfather and financial pillar. It was gathered that he bankrolled the recent visit of Amber Rose to Nigeria, for D’banj’s 10th anniversary kick-off party. Just so you know, the celebrant is best of friends with Folly Coker (believed to be the sponsor of Don Jazzy and Mavin Records), so

the connection is tight as these are men who have over the years been instrumental to the success of the three music stars and have invested in their brands and careers over the years. The least the trio of Don Jazzy, D'banj and Wande Coal could do was to honour him with a surprise performance on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

Aremo Oniru is the first son of Oba Idowu Oniru, the Oniru of Iruland, Victoria Island. He is also one of the most active members in Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola’s cabinent. Aremo Oniru enjoys the admiration of his colleagues for his strong sense of humility, which has seen him through the vagaries of life.
A very sociable fellow, Aremo Oniru is adored and loved by many people within the society.
