On Friday, 9 June, 2017, Basorge Tariah, the celebrated A-list actor, comedian, director, producer, writer, and a choreographer clocked 50. A surprise dinner was hosted in his honour on Tuesday, June 13, at the Villa Medici Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos. The hosting of the classy dinner was at the behest of Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation.
Born on June 9, 1967, Basorge Kelsey Tariah, Jr. hails from Buguma, Kalabari, Rivers State. The talented entertainer has a BA in Choreography from the University of Port-Harcourt, and was a dance champion in 1983 after winning the National Dancing Competition. He made his first professional appearance as a stand-up comedian at the University of Port Harcourt in 1989, and was paid 171 naira for the job. The celebrated thespian is married to Doris Basorge Tariah, and is a proud father of four.
