HOW CUSTOM CABAL FORCED BIG CHI INTO EARLY RETIREMENT

Chinyere Ngonadi is one of the most celebrated female personalities within the Nigeria social circuit. This lady, who goes by the sobriquet, Big Chi, was a top official in the Nigeria Custom and Excise. For many years, she held sway in Tin Can, Apapa, Lagos. Big Chi was reported to have made quite a fortune during this period. Her closeness to Kofo Olugbesan, a former top official in the Custom, also helped to accelerate her rise within the system. Before she retired, Olugbesan, who was the highest female official in the Custom, was Big Chi’s god-mother. But somehow, some forces within Custom felt uncomfortable with Big Chi’s lifestyle, which was expressly portrayed through her voracious appetite for attending parties. Before long, this ‘cabal’ moved against her and ensured that she got demoted from her position. Big Chi was then moved from Lagos to Calabar, and this later affected her strong inclination to socialize. Subsequently, Big Chi decided to retire, having found it hard to cope with her demotion. From what has been seen of her lately, she appears to be enjoying her life in retirement.
